Internship Overview
The Marketing Intern will gain hands-on experience in sports marketing, fan engagement, and brand strategy. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to break into the sports industry while working alongside a dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of Chicago Sky Reward program marketing campaigns for the 2026 season
- Support social media initiatives, content creation, and community engagement
- Support & actively sell Chicago Sky Reward memberships on game-day
- Help coordinate game-day activations, promotional events, and fan experiences
- Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to improve marketing strategies
- Assist in the management of sponsorship assets and partner deliverables
- Contribute to email marketing and digital advertising efforts
- Provide general administrative and logistical support to the marketing team
- Assist with our rewards program, including merchandise pick-up during games
- Input data for email marketing campaigns
- Email response within our Chicago Sky Reward platform for our reward members
Qualifications:
- Current college student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field
- Passion for sports, entertainment, and fan engagement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite is a plus)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail

The ideal candidate should be able to work most, if not all, home games at Wintrust Arena. There may also be opportunities for other non-game day help. Interns are required to be available in-person from May to approximately October. This is an unpaid internship. Students should be able to earn academic credit for their participation, but are not required to.
