About Us
The Chicago Sky Basketball Academy is committed to developing young athletes both on and off the court. Our focus extends beyond basketball—we prioritize leadership development, mentorship, and personal growth. We are seeking to add 2-3 coaches to our year-round coaching staff.
Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and reliable coach who understands that our primary focus is not winning but rather building confidence, teamwork, and life skills in our athletes. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who values mentorship, positivity, and leadership development in youth sports.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking one team coach that will be based on the West Side of Chicago, and 1-2 other coaches available for ad-hoc camps, clinics, and practices through out the year, in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
We are seeking one team coach that will be based on the West Side of Chicago, and 1-2 other coaches available for ad-hoc camps, clinics, and practices through out the year, in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
✅ Coach and mentor 5/6 grade girls at practices and tournaments.
✅ Foster a positive, supportive environment—no negative talk or cursing.
✅ Be punctual, reliable, and a quick communicator with the coaching staff and parents.
✅ Attend practices on Monday/Wednesday (6 PM) and Saturdays (morning/mid-day).
✅ Be present for the majority of tournaments (missing no more than 1-2 events every 6 months).
✅ Instill leadership and life skills in players while focusing on their development.
✅ Foster a positive, supportive environment—no negative talk or cursing.

Preferred Qualifications
✔️ College playing experience (strongly preferred).
✔️ Middle or high school coaching experience or experience working with middle or HS-aged athletes.
