Position Overview: The Fan Experience Intern will support the Sr Director of Fan Experience throughout the 2023 season with creating the best game day experience in sports. This role will be responsible for working across internal departments and external stakeholders to help meet the department goals.
Responsibilities
- Support and contribute to overall planning and implementation of Fan Experience/Game Operations department priorities.
- Work with the marketing team to provide fans information around game days (Printed and email communication).
- Coordinate operation of all table and stat crew equipment, set-up and scheduling.
- Work with the communications team to Prep and Distribute game day Credentials and Parking Passes/Lists.
- Manage arena setup and help schedule game day staff.
- Assist the Sr Director of Fan Experience in managing the Ambassador/Usher team with Dream’s hospitality program on game days.
- Interact with fans on game day and provide excellent guest service and wayfinding.
- Maintain key working relationships with Dream staff, patrons, and external constituents regarding game days.
- Help manage programs to receive feedback from Dream fans at home games and report on findings.
- Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Must be available to attend all Dream home games. Games & events may take place on nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to take initiative and plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved.
- Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively
- Familiarity with Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated and driven with excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple objectives simultaneously and adapt as priorities change
- Bachelor's degree in sports management or related field is required
This is a temporary, in-person, 6-month internship at the Atlanta Dream WNBA. $15/hourly - The internship will run from April 15 - October 15.
Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and provide verification of vaccination prior to start date.
