Position Purpose

The Atlanta Dream is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Analyst, reporting to the Director, Business Intelligence and Digital Strategy, to power our next phase of fan engagement and revenue growth. This position will design, develop, and maintain the data infrastructure and reporting capabilities that drive decision-making across the organization. You’ll transform raw data into clear, actionable insights—fueling ticket sales, e-commerce, marketing campaigns, and game-day operations.

You’ll work closely with teams across marketing, ticketing, partnerships, and operations to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and strategically applied. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
● Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines to ensure reliable, timely, and accurate data flow across business systems.
● Develop and manage dashboards and reports in Power BI to monitor KPIs across ticket sales, marketing performance, retail, and fan engagement.
● Write efficient SQL queries to extract, join, and aggregate data from multiple sources for analysis and reporting.
● Partner with internal teams to define reporting requirements, establish data definitions, and ensure consistency across platforms.
● Identify and integrate new data sources, including external APIs, to expand analytical capabilities.
● Collaborate with marketing to measure campaign effectiveness and provide insights that inform targeting, creative, and investment decisions.
● Maintain data governance best practices to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
● Present insights to leadership in clear, compelling formats that connect data to business impact.
● Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and data-driven innovation.
Education, Experience, Traits and Skills
Required
● 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related role.
● Strong proficiency in SQL, with demonstrated experience writing complex queries and optimizing performance.
● Proven experience building interactive dashboards and visualizations in Power BI (or similar tools such as Tableau, Looker, Mode).
● Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and working with large datasets.
● Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
● Highly detail-oriented, with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
● Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
● Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
● Able to work out of Atlanta Dream offices, attend all Atlanta Dream home games, and work all Atlanta Dream away games remotely when applicable.
● Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred
● Experience with Python and/or R for advanced analytics and data manipulation.
● Experience with Google BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
● Experience with API development or integration.
● Familiarity with sports marketing, ticketing systems, CRM platforms (MS Dynamics), or fan engagement analytics.
● Experience working with marketing data to measure campaign effectiveness, audience segmentation, and customer lifetime value.
● Understanding of data governance best practices and compliance considerations.
