Summary: 
This position will be assisting the Director of Housekeeping in leading all aspects of the contract between ABM and Deer District which handles the housekeeping operation for all of Deer District (arena, practice facility, entertainment district and parking structures). The ideal candidate will be responsible for the cleanliness of the Deer District with consideration of guests, employees, and the Milwaukee Bucks organization. These duties include directing the daily cleaning, year-round condition, and support for over 300 events per year with a wide variety of world class entertainment. 


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director of Housekeeping with being responsible for all duties of the contract housekeeping operation and cleanliness levels in all areas of the property.
  • Assuring that ABM meets Deer District contract requirements.
  • Reviews, plans, organizes, and controls functions and activities of all support services under the scope of the contract.
  • Serve as the liaison with contractors and product suppliers.
  • Assist the Director of Housekeeping with handling the contract with our current service provided by ABM.
  • Daily responsibilities for you and the ABM staff include:
  • Generating daily punch list of work that needs to be completed
  • Inspecting janitor closets to make sure they are stocked
  • Making sure washroom checklist has been completed nightly after events
  • Completing quality control inspections
  • Checking the trash room to ensure sorters completed their tasks
  • Ensuring arena or rented spaces are ready for doors
  • Checking “hot spots” before each event
  • Responding to emergency situations in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring staffing numbers are accurate for upcoming events.
  • Working closely with Director of Events, Director of Operations and all the Event Managers daily to ensure the building is ready for all upcoming events.
  • Assist the Director of Housekeeping with maintaining the inventory and procurement of the housekeeping supplies. This includes the supplies for all daily tasks, events and anything needed at our Practice Facility. 
  • Maintaining all housekeeping equipment including training the contract staff on accurate usage, storage of equipment and repairs.
  • Scheduling the cleaning of executive offices, team offices, restrooms, carpeting, professional locker/training rooms, exterior of the building (glass, facades, lighting, railings, steps, etc), suites, loge boxes, Back of House rooms, employee locker rooms and the Practice Facility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a housekeeping management or related field.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus!
  • Be very flexible regarding work hours, often working multiple shifts, weekends, and the occasional third shift.
  • Be proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and MS Outlook.
  • Flexible during events as activities change at a moment’s notice and you must be able to adapt.
  • Outstanding organizational, relationship building, time management, and verbal & written communication skills.
  • Be able to work effectively with all levels of staff, management, executive leadership, unions, and event managers.
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time.
