Summary:
The Director of Human Resources will oversee the human resources operations including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, workers compensation and labor relations at Fiserv Forum. This position will have a heavy emphasis on labor relations and collective bargaining.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with developing and implementing HR initiatives.
- Oversees the recruitment strategy of all arena team members including both part-time event and full-time arena team members.
- Advise and counsel managers on implementing policies, procedures, and programs including instructing managers on performance management, documentation, progressive discipline measures, and employee relations issues.
- Interprets and ensures consistent implementation of collective bargaining agreements.
- Manages the grievance process including preparing documentation, advising management and representing the organization in grievance meetings.
- Develop and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with union representatives.
- Serve as the Human Resources representative at Joint Labor Management Committee meetings.
- Manage leave of absences programs for the arena including FMLA, STD, LTD, etc.
- Assist with the company’s performance review processes.
- Oversee all worker's compensation claims according to state guidelines and ensure appropriate follow up and management of each claim.
- Responsible for OSHA reporting and compliance.
- Responsible for filing EEO-1 annually; maintain records to conform to regulations.
- Manage two Human Resources team members.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state and local labor laws.
- Other duties as assigned by Executive team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
- 8-10 years of progressive HR experience.
- Experience with collective bargaining and CBA implementation
- Experienced in the following areas: compensation, recruiting/staffing, benefits, employee relations, compliance, career development, performance management, and/or training
- Proven communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills
- Proven ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer-service orientation and business partnering skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive working relationships at all levels in the organization
