Position Summary

At the Milwaukee Bucks, we're in the business of creating unforgettable moments. We're looking for a strategic, collaborative, and creative marketing leader to help write the next chapter.

As Director, Marketing, you'll lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that grow our fan base, strengthen our brand, and drive business results across ticket sales, premium experiences, retail, events, and more. You'll partner with talented teams across the organization to bring big ideas to life, connect with fans in meaningful ways, and create campaigns that inspire people to be part of Bucks basketball.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that drive fan engagement, brand affinity, revenue growth, and organizational objectives.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive marketing campaigns that support ticket sales, premium products, events, partnerships, community initiatives, and other key business priorities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to align marketing efforts with organizational goals and ensure consistent execution across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Utilize consumer insights, market research, and performance data to inform strategy, optimize campaigns, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Manage marketing budgets, resources, agency relationships, and project timelines to maximize efficiency and return on investment.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, providing regular reporting and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance the organization's marketing capabilities and competitive position.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Ten (10) or more years of progressive marketing experience, including demonstrated success leading high-performing teams and developing integrated marketing strategies that drive measurable business results.
  • Five (5) or more years of people leadership experience, including leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven success developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that drive measurable business results.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, digital marketing, CRM, consumer lifecycle marketing, and campaign analytics.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for building high-performing teams.
Preferred

  • Experience in professional sports, entertainment, hospitality, live events, or another consumer-facing industry.
  • Knowledge of ticketing, membership, or fan engagement business models.
  • Experience managing agency partners and marketing technology platforms.
