Job Title: Basketball Operations Intern
Class; Internship – 40+ hours/week 
Reports To: Director of Basketball Operations
Location: Milwaukee, WI

Summary: The Basketball Operations Intern will support all aspects of the Basketball Operations department with daily administrative and operational tasks, departmental projects, and other tasks as assigned. This is not a remote position and will require you to be in Milwaukee. 


Responsibilities:
  • Ensure daily operations in the practice facility run smoothly, including restocking supplies and refrigerators, distributing mail/supplies/tickets, executing shipments, etc.
  • Generate daily NBA & G League reports and maintenance of depth charts, free agent lists, and salary sheets.
  • Assist scouting department with ticketing, credentials, and maintenance of database. 
  • Assist with executive needs, including reconciliation of expenses, escorting guests, providing rides, special reports and projects, video preparation.
  • Provide transportation and logistical support for players and team personnel.
  • Book travel arrangements.
  • Complete special projects from various departments, including basketball operations, team operations, analytics, cap & strategy, scouting, performance, and equipment.
  • While fulfilling tasks related to the internship, the intern is regularly required to sit at a desk for extended periods of time, stand, walk, drive (and having a valid Driver’s License) and climb stairs and shall be able to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Preference of 3-5 years of quality work experience in either basketball, business, law, or a similar professional setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) are strongly preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, hard-working, and business-minded.
  • Ability to travel if/when needed with short notice.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Able to work under pressure and handle work-related stress.
  • Able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.
  • Previous experience in and understanding of the NBA/G League landscape is preferred.
