Team Attendant
Job Title: Team Attendant - Coachella Valley Lakers
Department: Equipment (Basketball Operations)
Reports to: Equipment Manager, CVL
Departmental Goal: Ensure equipment needs are met from a player, team, and league perspective to support success on the court and as a brand.
Objective: Effectively assist with all Coachella Valley Lakers (CVL) home game equipment and team needs for CVL team/staff and visiting team/staff
Position Summary: Team Attendants are responsible for supporting the equipment needs of the Coachella Valley Lakers and visiting teams. This position requires a high level of organization and a positive and team-oriented attitude.
Essential Functions (Duties & Responsibilities**):
- Home and visiting locker rooms are set up before the teams arrive
- Collect ticket envelopes from players/coaches/staff to take to box office
- Stock the court with towels, water, Gatorade, etc.
- Rebound for players that are shooting pregame
- Attend to players and staff in-game as needed or assigned to by Equipment Manager or Head Athletic Trainer (mopping the court, water for players, collecting player warm-ups, etc.)
- Breakdown of court post-game, which includes hydroculators, Gatorade carts, game balls, slip mats, items on scorers table, etc.
- Assist the visiting team in loading and unloading the equipment truck and team buses for team arrivals and post-game departures
- Assist with post-game clean-up, which includes laundry, restocking fridges, cleaning locker rooms, etc.
- Ability to assist on non-gamedays in support of visiting team practice and team needs
- Schedule flexibility for non-gamedays is strongly preferred, visiting team practice times vary
**Responsibilities subject to change based on organizational needs and direction from management.
Previous Experience:
- 1 year in a customer facing role (preferred).
- 1 year experience working with a sports team (preferred).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must demonstrate a strong on-camera presence, professionalism, and ability to work under pressure
- Must have positive attitude and represent the brand in a professional manner
- Must be able to work with all levels of management, staff, fans, etc.
- Must be able to work in fast-paced environments.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Location: Greater Palm Springs (Acrisure Arena for Coachella Valley Lakers home games)
Hours: Must be available to work all CVL home games
The pay for this role is $19.00/hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and certifications.
