Position Summary: The Designer, Business Solutions is primarily responsible for the creation and development of visually compelling, turnkey, and customized partnership proposal decks that support the corporate partnership team’s storytelling and business efforts. This role will function as a creative resource for all sales, renewals, recaps and upsell [DO1] decks, contributing directly to revenue generation and partner retention. The Designer will collaborate with the Director of Business Solutions and key internal stakeholders, ensuring the seamless design of proposal decks for both prospective and current partners

Responsibilities:

  • Creative Design and Presentation Development:  Assist Director, Business Solutions in partner brainstorm sessions, working with corporate partnership sales team members with the development of customized presentation decks 
  • Partnership Materials Creation: Assist with platform proposal development and creation of all corporate partnership materials related to the Lakers and South Bay Lakers
  • Project Management and Timely Delivery: Maintain project priorities to ensure all sales pipeline materials are being built and updated in a timely manner 
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal sales and account management teams to ensure that sales process is maintained 
    • Brand Consistency: Participate in calls and meetings with graphic designers and internal marketing teams to ensure brand guidelines are met 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred 

Previous experience:  Minimum of 2-4+ years in digital agency/digital/content, or related fields with a focus on design, content creations, or corporate partnerships (experience in sports sponsorships is a plus)

Technology Capabilities: Technical proficiency in most if not all of the following: PowerPoint, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Apple Keynote (required)

  • Passion for Sports and Sponsorship: Strong interest in the sports and entertainment industry, maintaining knowledge of sports/entertainment media trends
  • Creative Excellence: Demonstrates a highly creative and innovative approach to design with a keen eye for detail and visual storytelling.
  • Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail:  Ability to take a solutions-focused approach to challenges while maintaining a high standard of design accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to successfully manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various levels, ensuring alignment and communication throughout the process.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Independence and Initiative: Strong work ethic with ability to function independently while managing upwards to keep supervisor informed, with proven ability to excel while multitasking in fast paced environment
  • Multitasking and Time Management: Excellent time management with ability to plan, organize and prioritize work to deliver exceptional work while hitting deadlines

The pay range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and certifications. In addition to those factors, we consider the relative pay of our current employees in similar positions when making a final offer.
