Team Overview
Integrated Marketing is the heartbeat of the marketing department, building seamless and connected pathways to fans to drive growth and engagement. Considering the full marketing mix with a spotlight on digital and social, the integrated marketing team is responsible for developing and executing detailed marketing plans, including a wide-range of sponsored programming and assets. As fan and channel experts, Integrated Marketing understands and implements the best ways to connect with fans and integrate commercial drivers to support the brand and business.

Position Summary
The Associate Manager, Social and Digital Sponsor Marketing serves as the central marketer and integrator for corporate partnerships digital and social media initiatives. This integrated marketing role is responsible for organizing the end-to-end planning, coordination, execution and delivery of high-priority sponsor digital and social content across the organization. This role coordinates multi-department workflows and integration spanning calendars, reviews, approvals, reporting, and cross-functional communication to ensure social and digital content is strategic, on-brand, right for the sponsor, and delivered on time.

This role will ensure sponsor content is thoughtfully planned, strategically aligned, and executed at a high level.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized marketer with an understanding of the social media space and how digital platforms can be used across sponsor marketing. This role requires exceptional organization skills, an understanding of and appreciation for the commercial business that drives revenue, and confidence and attention to detail to guide internal teams and sponsors through brand-right content, dynamic timelines and layered approvals.

Essential Functions

Digital and Social Marketing Sponsor Planning

  • Serve as the primary marketing point of contact for sponsor-related social and digital programming, assisting in ideation and development of sponsor marketing assets
  • Drive value to corporate partners by building series that adhere to social and digital best practices, balancing optimized performance and sponsor needs
  • Integrate Corporate Partnership content into the broader social strategy, ensuring partner posts align with team priorities, fan sentiment, and organic content priorities
  • Ensure contractual deliverables are translated into clear, executable social plans
  • Educate account teams on platform best practices, performance benchmarks, Lakers brand standards, and social-first storytelling

Day-to-Day Social and Digital Execution for Sponsor Programs

  • Coordinate and implement daily sponsor marketing content, owning sponsored content calendar, timelines, asset tracking, approvals and publishing
  • Submit, prioritize and track social and digital sponsor requests on Wrike and across various trackers, ensuring clear documentation and status 
  • Manage and track multi-layer approval workflows
  • Write copy and schedule sponsored content across social platforms, adhering to Lakers brand voice and sponsor requirements
  • Deliver monthly recap reporting across organic and partnership social performance, flagging trends, learnings, and opportunities to improve results
  • Own various administrative tasks related to social account management (e.g., inventory, security)
  • Assist with sponsor shoots, events and game-day content, as directed

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field; advanced or continuing education preferred

Previous Experience

  • Minimum 2-4 years in marketing with experience managing sponsor assets and programs
  • Proven marketing experience with multi-stakeholder campaigns with layered approvals in dynamic environments
  • Demonstrated ability to guide and persuade internal teams  through digital marketing and social media best practices
  • Knowledge and experience publishing on social media platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, X, Snapchat and more)

Technology Capabilities

  • Project Management Software (Wrike, Jira, Trello)
  • Social and digital platform-native analytics and reporting tools
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 

  • Understanding of brand sponsorship and digital marketing assets for corporate partners
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and how brands and sponsors integrate across digital platforms 
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Clear communicator with a collaboration-first mind set, capable of educating non-social partners and aligning internal teams
  • Detail-oriented, solutions-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-visibility dynamic environment
  • Experience with brands, sports, entertainment, or live events strongly preferred

Location: El Segundo (offices M–F); downtown Los Angeles (Crypto.com Arena for Lakers home games); occasional off-site events

Travel: Up to 10%

Hours: This position requires continual attention due to the perpetual nature of the NBA season; after-hours availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The pay range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and certifications. In addition to those factors, we consider the relative pay of our current employees in similar positions when making a final offer.
