General Description:
The part time production staff will work in a variety of positions throughout the season, including Technical Director, Replay, Clips Server, Graphics, Statistician or Camera Operator. Depending on the assigned role, a moderate to high level comprehension of basketball rules and situations is required.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates our One Team philosophy of Passion, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Teamwork.
- CG – Assist with computer graphics using Ross Xpression and Dashboard. Be knowledgeable about basketball stats and historical milestones.
- Clip Server – Play clips and audio with understanding of timecode countdowns and audio leveling on latest clip servers for live production
- Grip – Coil cables including triax, fiber, and assist hand-held cameras as needed.
- Camera Operator – Able to run wireless, handheld, and tripods for live productions. Understanding of basketball game play and framing of shots for situational moments throughout an NBA game.
- Replay – run replay using Evertz DreamCatcher, log meta data to all replays. Be able to work under high pressure situations with advanced level knowledge of basketball situations and rules.
- Production Assistant – assist when needed doing various roles within broadcast dept.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years in live broadcast production environment.
- Available to work at least 80% of games and events.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others.
- The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
- The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
- The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed in light of the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
