Position Overview:
The Canton Charge (NBA G League), owned and operated by the Cleveland Cavaliers, seek a Corporate Partnerships Seasonal Assistant who will assist in the development and implementation of a variety of activation initiatives for the Canton Charge. The position will assist in all facets of the preparation and activation of Charge Home Games and additional events while also providing support for other marketing and partnership initiatives.  This is a nine month seasonal position located at the Charge offices located in the Memorial Civic Center, Canton, OH.  This position will also collaborate with Corporate Partnership team members at our Cleveland offices who work with our other franchises (Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Monsters and Cavs Legion).
General Responsibilities:
  • Working with Corporate Partnerships Team members to prepare for meetings with clients and prospects.
  • Assisting with day-to-day activities relating to servicing and fulfillment of partner accounts, ensuring 100% delivery of contractual obligations.
  • Research new and relevant information on potential corporate partner prospects.
  • Game Operations - Track and manage Corporate Partner promotions and prize fulfillment.
  • Event Management - Assists with preparation and execution of partner and department events.
  • Professional Development - Attend client meetings with Account Managers and Representatives as requested

Account Management:
  • Learn the entire life cycle of a promotion from planning to implementation.
  • Inventory management: Learn basic application/usage within CRM database.
  • Assist activation team with season recap presentations.
  • Assist with preparation of post-event recaps for partners.

New Business Generation
  • Help create unique activation programs to increase revenue from existing and future partners.
  • Maintain awareness of sponsorship/market trends and knowledge relative to what corporate partners and their like competitors are executing in other markets and/or professional leagues.
  • Research and conceive promotional ideas, monitor what types of events and promotions other sports properties are employing, and relay information to the Corporate Partnerships Team.
  • Learn the critical elements that go into a proposal and how to collaborate with other departments to create a formal presentation.
  • Learn real-life application of conducting client research and enhancing the sales process by understanding clients' needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other related computer skills required.
  • Experience with Photoshop and Prezi is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and support multiple high level executive positions.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
  • Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work 30-40+ hours per week including extended hours, nights, , weekends and Charge games.
