The Cavaliers Operating Company, LLC is seeking a talented Director, Partnership Solutions & Creative Strategy who will play a significant role directing the strategy and development of partner-related business objectives. Demonstrate a key focus towards partner activities impacting both the Development and Partnership Marketing groups. The Director, Partnership Solutions & Creative Strategy will lead organizational efforts to increase partner integration with focus on creative solutions and ideation of platforms to drive partner solutions and organizational revenue.

Solutions & Strategy Team Lead is responsible for the following:
  • Ideate and develop best-in-class platforms and innovative ideas to arm our sales teams to sell across the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Monsters, Cleveland Charge and Cavs Legion GC.
  • Lead internal collaboration across teams (Marketing, Diversity & Inclusion, Community Relations, Building Operations, etc.) to streamline and expedite the Corporate Partnership sales process.
  • Conduct brand research and analyze data insights to provide context to current and new partnership platforms.
  • Articulate and present creative vision of integrated sponsorship presentations to internal and external decision-makers and project stakeholders.
  • Push the growth (revenue & engagements) of digital partnerships. Collaborate with the Partnership Marketing and Activation Teams to execute upon contractual digital assets.
  • Provide operational oversight of all monetizable digital products. Management of digital rate card, measurement, execution, internal negotiation/vetting, and optimization.
  • Administer network communication with agencies and digital media companies for the purposes of relationship, marketplace insights and revenue opportunities.
  • For all current special partner projects (TBD), drive the conceptualization and execution of specific innovative solutions that require cross-functional work groups.
  • For specific prospect partners (TBD), drive from ideation to execution specific innovative solutions that require cross functional work groups.
  • Facilitate ideation sessions and implement design thinking principles to arrive at monetizable disruptive/transformative ideas.
  • Routinely cultivate and share best practices that have a tangential relationship with sports and entertainment. Leverage those best practices in manner that drives external recognition and internal inspiration.
  • Lead the Creative Solutions team responsible for bringing our partnership presentations, pitches, recaps, and meeting collateral to life.
  • Manage digital partnerships coordinator to ensure all current digital contractual activations and future digital obligations are tracked and activated.
  • Oversee all client and corporate partnerships video production in coordination with Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse Creative Team.
  • Operate as an internal agency for the overall Corporate Partnerships team, assessing all data shared for a given project and develop a proposed creative solution for each opportunity.
  • Responsible for updating documents for department use within the Project Status Tracker, Team internal reference documents, etc.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to share and discuss updates with ongoing owned projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • 5+ years of partnership sales or solutions experience, with an entertainment organization, agency, professional sports team, league, or media.
  • Must be timely and have a flexible work schedule to consistently attend department or company events and games that occur on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Demonstrate a track record of creativity, solutions, driving partnership growth and meeting set goals.
  • Established throughout the industry for professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts.
