JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Senior Producer, Promotions is a lead creative role responsible for the conceptualization, development, and execution of high-impact promotional content, reporting directly to the VP of Production. You will drive the brand identity of our network across linear, digital, and social platforms, focusing on live game broadcasts, original programming, and team-specific marketing campaigns. This role will work across numerous verticals and franchise properties to ensure organizational and brand alignment with the individual partners and teams. This role requires a visionary storyteller who can pair the high-stakes energy of live sports with a polished, cinematic aesthetic to engage a passionate regional fan base.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Work alongside the VP of Production to creative strategy for 360-degree marketing campaigns, including season launches, Game of the Week promos, show tune in and playoff coverage.
  • Direct, write, and produce short-form and long-form promotional content. This includes overseeing high-end studio shoots, field production, and post-production workflows.
  • Ensure all content meets the highest standards of visual quality, utilizing advanced lighting techniques, professional composition, and cutting-edge motion graphics to maintain a premium network look.
  • Mentor and supervise junior producers, editors, and graphic designers, providing clear creative direction and constructive feedback to maintain brand consistency.
  • Adapt core marketing messages for diverse delivery methods, ensuring content is optimized for broadcast, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging digital platforms.
  • Work closely with the Ad Sales team to integrate corporate partners into promotional content in a way that feels organic and enhances the fan experience.
  • Oversee production budgets and timelines, ensuring all assets are delivered on time for critical broadcast deadlines.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, media production, film/television production, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5–8+ years in professional video production, specifically within sports media, broadcast promotion, or an agency setting.
  • Proven ability to mentor junior editors and producers while managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding of the sports industry, including game-day cycles, player narratives, and regional fandom.
  • Exceptional copywriting skills for writing compelling scripts and on-air copy.
  • Advanced non-linear editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, including multicam workflows, nested sequences, and text-based editing
  • Motion design, including 3D tracking, compositing, rotoscoping.
  • Experienced in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for advanced asset preparation, detailed color correction, and vector-based branding.
  • Professional-level sound mixing in Adobe Audition, including EQ, noise reduction, and ducking music behind voiceovers.
  • Experience with DAM (Digital Asset Management) systems for archiving and retrieving game footage.
  • Mastery of broadcast delivery formats (XDCAM, ProRes 422, MXF) and digital-first codecs (H.264/H.265).
  • Technical ability to reframe 16:9 broadcast masters into 9:16 (TikTok/Reels) and 1:1 (Instagram/Facebook) formats without losing visual intent.
  • Knowledge of signal flow, legal broadcast colors, and frame-rate conversion (e.g., 29.97 vs. 59.94 fps).
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools for generative fill, automated transcription, and rapid asset generation (e.g., Adobe Firefly).
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and other non-traditional hours based on event needs.
