POSITION SUMMARY:

The 'Seasonal Assistant, Booking & Events' is responsible for observing, learning and supporting the day-to-day operation of the Facility Administration Team for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Monsters, and REG (Rock Entertainment Group).  This role involves strategic planning, financial analysis, and decision-making to ensure the company's financial health, growth, and successful completion of venue projects.

We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team to support the planning and execution of arena events including tentpole events, concerts, banquets, NBA & AHL games. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about live entertainment.

** This is a temporary position (6 month internship) from January 2026 – June 2026, paying $15.00/HR. This position requires working onsite at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, OH approximately 40 hours per week.  Nights and Weekends are required. 

 

** Local candidates only. Ideally seeking Dec. 2025 college graduates local to Cleveland, OH. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assists the Booking & Events Department with live event operations before, during, and after events.

 

  • Helps coordinate load-in/load-out logistics in collaboration with arena operations and touring crews.
  • Confirming event configurations are completed daily for internal and external events
  • Collaborates and communicates often with Team Members across various departments about ongoing projects.
  • Prepares and maintains event documentation, including pre- and post-event notes
  • Monitors and assists with backstage setup and artist rider fulfillment, including signage, catering coordination, and cleanliness.
  • Assists with crowd management, guest flow, and venue policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
  • Proactively communicates with corporate sponsors, team members, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provides support for VIP and fan experience activations.
  • Ensure all event materials are properly managed and distributed (e.g., Event Checklists / memos, layouts, notes).

 

  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic planning by aligning project goals with organizational objectives.

 

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Currently attending (or recent graduate of) a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree program, preferably with an emphasis in Business Administration, Hospitality, or Sports Management.
  • Must be avaliable to work 40 hours per week at Rocket Arena. Candidates seeking a part time schedule will not be considered.
  • Candidates MUST have flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and occasional Holidays.
  • Possesses a positive and creative attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
  • Strong time management, organizational and computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • A motivated individual who can take directions and execute at a high level with sometimes minimal follow-up.
