JOB SUMMARY:

The Social Content Manager is an all-in-one creator and strategist responsible for leading our social media presence across WNBA platforms. This role is highly content-heavy, with a primary focus on social media and photography, plus the ability to capture and edit video. The ideal candidate is hands-on, comfortable, owning the full process from concept to publish, and experienced in executing both organic and partner/contractual social content.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute a social media content strategy aligned with brand and campaign objectives.
  • Plan, shoot, and edit photo content as the primary visual output for all social channels.
  • Manage the day-to-day content calendar, including scheduling, posting, and real-time coverage as needed.
  • Write engaging captions and social copy that reflect the brand voice and drive audience interaction.
  • Execute partner and contractual content deliverables from brief to final posting, ensuring all terms are met.
  • Ensure all content complies with brand guidelines, legal requirements, and contractual agreements.
  • Support the planning, setup, and optimization of paid social media campaigns in coordination with marketing or media teams.
  • Monitor performance of social content, track key metrics, and provide insights and recommendations to improve results.
  • Stay on top of social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to keep content fresh and competitive.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in social media, social content, or similar content-creation role.
  • Strong photography skills, including shooting and editing assets specifically for social media.
  • Experience capturing and editing short-form video content for major social platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage content-heavy social channels for a brand, creator, or agency.
  • Understanding of paid social media, including campaign objectives, targeting, and creative requirements.
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to contractual agreements and partner content guidelines.
  • Experience executing partner content deliverables on time and to spec.
  • Excellent written communication skills and a strong sense of visual storytelling.
  • Basic Adobe Creative Suite, photography, digital video and editing skills are a plus.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
