JOB SUMMARY:
The Group Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Group Sales Team, who manage group ticket sales and experiences for individuals, corporate clients, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations. Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Group Sales, the Group Sales Manager is responsible for helping to ensure that the team is in the best position to achieve their group sales revenue goals and uphold the standards of the organization.
The Group Sales Manager is responsible for holding their team members accountable for daily activity metrics, as well as ensuring they embody the five characteristics (positive attitude, passion, work ethic, commitment to learning, leadership). By doing so, they will ensure their team provides proactive service by anticipating the needs of their group clients and delivering tailored packages and experiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with each individual Group Sales Specialist by conducting weekly one-on-one coaching sessions to review problem accounts, answer questions, and provide professional coaching
- Responsible for achieving and exceeding the department’s annual group sales revenue goal by strategically developing and implementing sales plans, monitoring team performance, and adjusting tactics as needed to ensure consistent progress toward organizational targets.
- Help each Group Event Specialist achieving their individual annual sales goals, encompassing group ticket sales, cross-selling of memberships, single-night rentals, and premium single-night sales, ensuring well-rounded performance that contributes to the team’s overall revenue targets and organizational success.
- Assist in the creation of the group sales business plan and budget for group events, in addition to, all themed group night experiences
- Assist in the development and design of new group packages, benefits and products
- Develop, plan, and execute training sessions with the Group Sales Team focusing on improving sales and service skills as well as cross-selling techniques
- Management of Fan Experience Package sell-thru and execution in game as well creating new opportunities for Fan Experience ideas and revenue maximization
- Create and manage a schedule to ensure all phone coverage, game-day duties, and other required sales staff appearances are fulfilled by Group Event Specialists
- Build personal relationships with group clients by attending meetings, game-day group visits, and making calls with Group Sales Specialist representatives

- Implementing/executing career growth map for Group Sales Specialists
- Accountability and progression of the Group Sales Specialist team by conducting weekly one-on-one sessions with the team members to evaluate monthly performance as it pertains to activity levels, sales numbers, and how the team members embody the five characteristics. In addition, developing yearly performance reviews as defined by the Human Resources department
