JOB SUMMARY:

It is the primary responsibility of the Event Receptionist (Part-Time) to answer all incoming calls, greet incoming guests, provide excellent customer service, be knowledgeable and informative regarding building, events and activities information at Rocket Arena. 

This is a part-time position that works various weeknights and weekends from 5:30PM through the end of the event (typically 10pm-12am), based on the Rocket Arena events schedule. This position works 10 – 15 hours per week during the season (October – April).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Answer all incoming phone calls in a quick, friendly, knowledgeable and informative manner.
  • Transfers calls as required to the appropriate team or team member.
  • Answer questions; provide accurate information regarding events, hours of operations, promotions, and directions.
  • Answer guests’ questions about Rocket Arena events and activities.
  • Greet guests, clients, partners, visitors, team members and others at Rocket Arena.
  • Offer high level customer service to all team members and guests.
  • Monitor activities at entrances.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and willingness to assist all guests whenever possible.
  • Clear verbal communications skills to represent Rocket Arena in an intelligent, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail.
  • Maintain clean and organized working areas.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior administrative experience. 
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Highly proficient verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and provide exceptional customer service to all callers, guests and team members.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Must have availability to work onsite at Rocket Arena various weeknights and weekends from 5:30PM through the end of the event, based on the Rocket Arena events schedule.
