JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the EVS Management Team, the Event Environmental Services Technician (Part Time), formerly known as 'Event Housekeeper', will be responsible for assigned duties in the cleaning and housekeeping maintenance of Rocket Arena. These duties involve the daily cleaning of the Arena, and year-round support for approximately 175 to 200 events per year.
** All Event EVS Tech's will join the Local B-27 Union.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Trash Attendant - Remove trash and recyclables from designated areas and dispose of each in their proper locations.
- Restroom Attendant - Cleaning assigned restrooms. Sweeping/mopping, cleaning sinks and stock paper products as necessary.
- Housekeeping - Monitor the concourses between your assigned portals. Sweep all debris with broom and caddy and clean all tables in your assigned area. Respond to all calls (spills, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Post Event - Removing the debris from the seating area.
- Customer Service – Assisting in giving guests directions and customer service as necessary.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned.
SHIFT TIME: Approx. 3:00-11:00pm (exact start and end times are subject to change based on the Rocket Arena events schedule)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred, but not required.
- Must have flexibility to work any days of the week, weekends and various other shifts as needed.
- Must comply with joining the Local B-27 Union.
- Physical requirements include the ability to traverse stairs, bending/stooping/kneeling, walking up to ¼ mile at a time, and working in elevated areas (Loudville).
- High School diploma or GED equivalent certificate preferred.
- Must have a valid State of Ohio identification.
