JOB SUMMARY:

The Strategic & Executive Communications Coordinator will play a vital role in shaping how Rock Entertainment Group tells its story to Team Members and key stakeholders, translating organizational strategy into clear, timely and engaging communications. This position serves as a highly organized hub for strategic communications, managing timelines, coordinating cross-functional inputs and ensuring deliverables are accurate, on brand and on time. The Coordinator will support Rock Entertainment Group’s awards and recognition efforts, internal communications and executive messaging by maintaining key calendars and databases, gathering metrics and stories, and helping craft clear, engaging content that reflects the organization’s culture, vision and leadership priorities. Success in this role will be defined by precise execution, proactive relationship-building and a strong commitment to elevating Rock Entertainment Group’s internal and external narrative so that every message reinforces who the organization is, where it is going and why its work matters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Responsibilities

  • Serve as a central coordination support point for strategic communications projects, tracking timelines, deliverables and approvals across internal stakeholders and leaders.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Rock Entertainment Group’s brand identity, culture, business priorities and audience segments to ensure all communications are cohesive and on-message.
  • Collaborate closely with Corporate Communications, Marketing, People & Culture and other departments to synchronize internal, executive and external-facing messaging where appropriate.

Strategic Communications

  • Help build and maintain schedules for project-based and long-term strategic communications plans, including calendars, data gathering and talking points.
  • Support the development of communication strategies and talking points that align with organizational goals, key initiatives and brand positioning for Rock Entertainment Group and its teams.
  • Coordinate input from cross-functional partners (e.g., marketing, partnerships, community impact, operations) to ensure communications plans are complete, accurate and up to date.

Awards Submissions & Thought Leadership

  • Own and maintain a centralized calendar and database of industry awards, rankings and recognition opportunities relevant to Rock Entertainment Group and its properties.
  • Support the end-to-end award submission process, including gathering metrics, case studies, creative assets and executive approvals, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify storylines that showcase innovation, community impact, culture and business performance, and translate them into compelling award entries and supporting materials.

Internal Communications

  • Develop a deep understanding of Rock Entertainment Group’s internal culture, values and Team Member experience to craft internal messaging that is clear, engaging and aligned to leadership priorities.
  • Draft and coordinate internal communications such as all-staff emails, intranet posts, newsletters and event communications that keep Team Members informed about key initiatives, milestones and updates.
  • Support internal campaigns that drive employee engagement, recognition and culture-building (e.g., All-Team Meetings, leadership updates, inclusion initiatives, and major organizational announcements), ensuring consistent messaging and strong visual/storytelling alignment.
  • Help maintain internal communications calendars, channel guidelines and feedback loops (e.g., surveys, engagement metrics) to continuously improve reach, clarity and two-way dialogue with Team Members.

Executive Communications

  • Support executive communications for key Rock Entertainment Group leaders by coordinating information-gathering, timelines and background materials for speeches, remarks and written messages.
  • Assist with drafting or assembling talking points, presentation content and internal/external messages for executives that reflect their voice, the organization’s strategy and audience needs.
  • Maintain organized trackers for executive communications requests, approvals and follow-up actions to ensure timely delivery and alignment across multiple initiatives and events.
  • Partner with relevant teams to identify opportunities for executives to participate in internal events, industry panels, media opportunities and thought leadership platforms that elevate Rock Entertainment Group’s profile.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of communications experience is preferred and is a plus if prior experience is in the fields of corporate sports, lifestyle, culture and/or entertainment communications. 
  • Must be able to showcase strong writing and editing skills through portfolio work. 
  • Must be able to showcase proficiency in PowerPoint, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Pages, Keynote and/or other related presentation and graphics software through portfolio work. 
  • An independent, self-starter who routinely brings actionable ideas to the table. Can prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team player; organized, can prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have flexible availability to work nights, weekends and occasional holidays as required.
