JOB SUMMARY:

The Coordinator, Retail Marketing plays a key role in aligning marketing, retail, and memorabilia initiatives by leading influencer collaborations, developing retail-driven social campaigns, and managing authentication for game-used and team-issued items. This position combines digital strategy, content execution, event support, and storytelling to enhance fan connection, maximize retail performance, and strengthen brand equity.

 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate influencer marketing initiatives, including identifying creators, coordinating partnerships, negotiating deliverables, tracking campaign performance, and ensuring alignment with organizational brand standards.
  • Execute retail social media marketing efforts across team and retail channels to promote merchandise launches, exclusive collections, game-day activations, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Collaborate with NBA league partners and internal departments to ensure campaigns align with league-wide initiatives, guidelines, and content calendars.
  • Assist with the on-site authentication process for game-worn and game-used memorabilia, including chain-of-custody tracking, inventory organization, and day of coordination.
  • Provide operational support for game-day and event activations by coordinating influencer appearances, merchandise launches, in-arena promotions, and partner integrations to enhance the fan experience.
  • Track and compile social media performance, campaign engagement, and retail revenue data to inform reporting and optimize future marketing strategies.
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice, visual identity, and messaging across all retail marketing and influencer campaigns.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sports marketing, retail marketing, social media, or influencer marketing preferred.
  • Understanding of influencer marketing, including creator outreach, partnership coordination, and campaign execution.
  • Strong understanding of retail marketing principles, including product launches, merchandising strategies, and e-commerce integration.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, live event or game-day environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and other non-traditional hours based event needs.
