The HSE Video Production Intern will support the video team throughout all phases of production, including pre-production, on-site shoots, and post-production. Responsibilities include assisting with equipment setup and breakdown, organizing and achieving footage, and contributing to event recap videos, department sizzles and content.

This is a paid, in-person internship. Interns will be paid $15.00 per hour, with the ability to work a minimum of twenty (20), maximum of thirty (30) hours per week. The 2026-2027 season program runs from September 7, 2026, through April 23, 2027.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Log, organize, and archive video clips to maintain accurate and accessible media libraries.
  • Assist with production shoot setup, breakdown, and on-site support
  • Support the creation of marketing, partnership, and community impact video content
  • Assist with pre-game and post-game video operations to ensure smooth workflows
  • Participate fully in the internship program, including workshops, executive speaker series, job shadowing, and an intern project
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Experience, and Abilities

To perform this role successfully, the candidate should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Basic understanding of video production workflows.
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills, particularly in media management
  • Experience with basic video editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred)
  • Ability to assist with production setup, including cameras, audio, and lighting
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and game days
  • Ability to lift and move basic production equipment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to manage individual responsibilities
  • Previous internship or experience in video, media, or content creation preferred
  • Experience in sports or live event environments preferred
  • Ability to travel to off-site events and campaigns
  • Familiarity with sports, live events, or social media video content preferred
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university pursuing a degree in film, media production, communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience preferred
  • Male collegiate basketball players must have exhausted their NCAA eligibility before participating in the HSE internship program.
