Position Overview

Hornets Sports & Entertainment are seeking a part-time Performance Marketing Assistant to support the planning, execution, and reporting of integrated marketing campaigns designed to drive ticket sales, revenue, and fan engagement. This role will serve as a key operational partner to the Performance Marketing team, helping manage campaigns from concept through execution across paid media, email, and owned channels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of ticket sales and revenue-generating marketing campaigns across paid search, paid social, display, email, and other paid marketing channels.
  • Assist with campaign setup, QA, tracking, pacing, and performance reporting.
  • Maintain campaign calendars, project timelines, and marketing trackers to ensure initiatives launch on time and stakeholders remain aligned.
  • Coordinate the collection, organization, and delivery of creative assets across internal teams and external partners.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify audience trends, growth opportunities, and channel best practices.
  • Assist in developing strategies to reach new fans and emerging demographics throughout Charlotte and the Carolinas.
  • Support promotional planning for individual game, partial plans and season memberships.
  • Track marketing budgets, invoices, and campaign expenses.
  • Attend meetings as needed, capture key takeaways, and distribute action items and recaps.
  • Provide administrative support, including Workfront project submissions, request tracking, and campaign documentation.
  • Assist with game nights and special events as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Part-time role with expected 30-hours per week

Required Skills, Experience and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, Business, or a related field preferred; relevant internship experience will be considered.
  • 1–2 years of marketing experience, including internships.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with data and campaign performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with digital advertising platforms, email marketing tools, or project management software is a plus.
  • Availability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including select evenings, weekends, and game nights.
  • Ability to lift and transport marketing materials up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Passion for sports, fan engagement, and live entertainment.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, dependable, and solutions-oriented mindset.
