Manager of Brand Video Content
Position Overview
As the Manager of Brand Video Content for HSE (Hornets Sports & Entertainment) Studios, you will develop, execute and track compelling Hornets-related brand video content across all digital platforms, social media channels and in-arena scoreboards. Your focus will primarily center on the HSE brand, including partnerships, marketing, game presentation and community initiatives across Charlotte Hornets, Spectrum Center and Greensboro Swarm. This position requires cross-functional collaboration across various departments to support company-wide initiatives and reports to the Director of Production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution and tracking of brand video content strategies across digital, social and in-arena platforms to support brand initiatives.
- Oversee the full video production lifecycle, from concept to final delivery for marketing, partnerships, community impact, game presentation, and other branded content.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Partnerships and Community Impact teams to develop branded partner content aligned with both organizational and partner objectives.
- Drive the creative development of video concepts, providing direction and oversight to ensure content is engaging, innovative and on-brand.
- Develop and manage a strategic content roadmap in collaboration with the Senior Director of Production and other stakeholders.
- Supervise and mentor the brand video team, ensuring alignment on priorities, creative direction and production standards.
- Maintain production schedules and enforce timelines to meet deadlines across all projects.
- Present creative concepts using storyboards, theme boards and visual references to support project alignment.
- Research trends in sports, entertainment and fan engagement to generate timely and relevant content ideas.
- Collaborate with social media and business intelligence teams to assess content performance and fan sentiment, using insights to inform strategy.
- Ensure brand voice and visual standards are consistently upheld across all video content and platforms.
- Execute and train best practices in camera operation, lighting and audio to achieve high production quality.
- Assist in budget development and manage resource allocation for video projects.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and software needs for video production operations.
- Manage archiving systems to ensure all video assets are organized and accessible.
- Foster effective cross-departmental collaboration to support broader organizational initiatives.
- Support game-day operations and assist in executing the in-arena show for Hornets home games.
- Continuously improve production processes to enhance efficiency and creative output.
- Communicate project updates and needs clearly with internal teams and leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Experience, and Abilities
To perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies associated with the essential functions of this job.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting, Film/Media Production or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 7 years of video production experience within a sports team, brand or content production environment.
- Demonstrated ability to create various forms of video content tailored to different platforms (digital, social, in-arena, etc.).
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, After Effects and related programs.
- Experience working within a Mac OS environment.
- Strong technical skills in video and audio editing, graphic design and camera operation.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills; able to balance team collaboration with individual accountability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly creative, self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Ability to lift and handle video production equipment (25–60 pounds) when necessary.
- Passionate about the entertainment industry with innovative, strategic thinking.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and select holidays, as well as occasional travel for events, meetings and conferences.
