The Sr. Director, Brooklyn Wine Club will be the driving force behind the growth and prestige of BSE Global’s exclusive wine membership club. This individual will blend their deep passion for wine with a relentless, entrepreneurial mindset and a robust network within the wine industry to create an unparalleled membership experience. They will be the key point of contact for all wine-related needs within the organization including arena, hospitality, media, VIP experience, membership and wine club, and distribution.  

The Sr. Director will lead across organizational borders to develop and execute strategies for omni-channel growth that will strengthen BSE Global’s overall position and support every aspect of the wine and hospitality vertical. The ideal candidate will have an overwhelming sense of hospitality. They will be entrepreneurial, agile, cross-functional, and willing to get scrappy to get the work done. They will be a self-starter, team leader, and culture builder that recognizes the need for art and skill as they create a world-class wine and experience ecosystem at BSE Global. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Strategic Leadership:  

  • Develop and execute the club’s vision, business plan, and long-term strategy in alignment with BSE Global’s luxury wine brand positioning. 
  • Continuously refine membership offerings, pricing models, and value propositions to ensure exclusivity and market-leading appeal. 
  • Monitor and analyze trends in wine, luxury, and hospitality sectors to anticipate shifts and keep the Brooklyn Wine Club at the forefront of innovation. 

Member Experience & Engagement: 

  • Design and implement a suite of exclusive experiences, events, and tastings for members, leveraging both in-house and external resources.
  • Curate an evolving selection of world-class wines, collaborating with renowned vineyards, winemakers, and industry tastemakers.
  • Foster a culture of community, networking, and discovery among members, ensuring a highly personalized and memorable club experience.
  • Serve as the chief ambassador and face of the wine brand, building relationships with high-profile members and nurturing a sense of belonging 

Industry Partnerships & Procurement: 

  • Build, maintain, and expand a broad network of relationships with wineries, distributors, sommeliers, and other key wine industry stakeholders. 
  • Negotiate exclusive allocations, private labels, and custom collaborations to provide members with rare and sought-after wines. 
  • Champion ethical sourcing, sustainability, and excellence in wine selection and procurement practices. 

Marketing & Communications: 

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies to attract, engage, and retain a select membership base.
  • Oversee all brand communications, storytelling, and digital platforms relating to the Brooklyn Wine Club.
  • Act as a thought leader and spokesperson, representing the club at industry events, in media, and within BSE Global’s broader ecosystem. 

Operational Excellence: 

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of Brooklyn Wine Club, including budgeting, staff management, legal compliance, and vendor relationships.
  • Implement tools and systems for membership management, logistics, and customer service to ensure a seamless, white-glove experience.
  • Measure and report on key performance indicators, driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, preferably within the wine and spirits industry, luxury brands, or hospitality.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, Oenology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., WSET, CMS, MW) 
  • Established and active connections within the global wine community, from vineyards and producers to critics, distributors, and luxury clientele.
  • Entrepreneurial drive, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
  • Recognition as a wine aficionado, with deep product knowledge and a passion for sharing the art and science of wine appreciation.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience designing and delivering high-touch customer experiences and VIP events.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and financial management capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving business needs.

SALARY RANGE

$145,000 - $165,000 base salary

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role is based in our corporate headquarters in Brooklyn and requires flexibility to support events that may occur in the evenings, weekends, or holidays.
