SUMMARY

The External Affairs Department encompasses corporate communications, community relations, social impact, government relations and Brooklyn Basketball. This role will assist in Social Impact strategy and programming and will report to the Senior Vice President of Social Impact.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Responsible for project managing external Social Impact initiatives including the United Games as well as cultural and heritage celebrations across properties.
  • Meet regularly with Employee Resource Group co-chairs and lead the development and implementation of associated programming.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Small Business and Supplier Diversity programs.
  • Support Community Relations on projects as necessary, such as the Give Back Program and Sustainability initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of revenue generating opportunities through Social Impact programming by collaborating with the partnerships and ticketing teams.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 5+ years of professional work experience 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • Working knowledge of Social Impact best practices and emerging trends 
  • Exhibit good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment 
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Strong computer skills - Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint 
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

COMPENSATION

$83,000 - $115,000

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The candidate will work primarily in an office environment but will be required to travel to various areas within the NYC Metro Area to attend community events, clinics, etc.
