SUMMARY

The Senior Manager of Learning & Development will work alongside the SVP of Talent Management to design, deliver, and evolve systems, processes, and programs that drive employee growth and organizational success. This role is responsible for maintaining the company’s Learning Management System (LMS), facilitating high-impact training sessions, and overseeing programming across the employee lifecycle — including onboarding, performance management, and professional development. The ideal candidate is a strong project manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and champions HR initiatives across the organization. 

The Senior Manager will report to the Senior Vice President of Talent Management.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Learning & Development 

  • Facilitate training programs and learning sessions, ensuring engaging and inclusive delivery. 
  • Design and implement training programs, policies, and procedures with a focus on leadership development, belonging, and performance management. 
  • Promote, maintain and produce engaging content for the company’s LMS. Identifying gaps in learning and innovating new programs to help close that gap.  
  • Partner with the SVP of Talent Management to conduct annual training and development needs assessments. 
  • Conduct follow-up studies to measure training effectiveness and adjust programs as needed. 

Performance & Talent Management 

  • Support and help lead the performance management process, ensuring relevance and effectiveness across the business. 
  • Leverage performance management software (Lattice) to streamline processes, track progress, and generate insights. 

Program & Project Management 

  • Manage onboarding programs to ensure a smooth and engaging new hire experience. 
  • Oversee people programs across the employee lifecycle to strengthen engagement and development. 
  • Drive project plans, timelines, and execution for HR and organizational development initiatives. 
  • Communicate and market internal programs through thoughtful messaging, reporting, and analytics. 

Continuous Improvement 

  • Research emerging learning techniques and recommend enhancements to programs and processes. 
  • Maintain accurate employee training records for compliance and reporting. 

Culture & Values 

  • Model and communicate the organization’s core values to build a strong sense of teamwork and alignment. 
  • Serve as a visible champion of HR initiatives, engaging employees across levels and functions.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 5-7 years in Human Resources roles with direct experience in talent management, learning & development, and people program management. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Communications, Learning & Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 
  • Hands-on experience with performance management platforms; Lattice experience preferred. 
  • Demonstrated program management experience, particularly with onboarding and employee development programs.
  • Experience in the sports/entertainment/arena industry preferred.

SALARY RANGE

$100,000 - $140,000 base salary

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The incumbent will work primarily in an office environment located in Industry City, Brooklyn. May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
