SUMMARY

The Senior Director of Strategy & Market Research will play a pivotal role in shaping BSE Global’s next generation of growth—spanning hospitality, experiences, and new businesses. You will collaborate closely with Corporate Development, Products & Experiences, and Hospitality teams to deliver data-informed strategic guidance. This role is critical in identifying new lines of business and providing strategic insights to drive the company's expansion.  

For example, you might lead a deep-dive market analysis to guide a major investment decision—such as determining whether BSE should develop a boutique hotel, a destination restaurant, or a premier performance venue. You would synthesize consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and industry trend data to create a compelling business case that influences significant decisions and shapes the future of BSE’s media, hospitality and entertainment portfolio.  

The Senior Director will report directly to the Chief Digital Officer and collaborate with applicable departments to ensure the successful execution and integration of market research and insights throughout the company. This individual will play a key role in molding the strategic direction and success of our organization through market intelligence and insights.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead and manage strategic projects to identify new business opportunities and support growth initiatives.  
  • Act as a strategic advisor to executive team, presenting research findings and offering guidance on long-term strategic direction.  
  • Develop and implement research to understand new markets and opportunities which complement our existing business and create opportunities for growth. 
  • Partner with the Data, Analytics & Insights team to incorporate findings from first party data for a holistic market view.  
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on market research findings.  
  • Collaborate with various teams to integrate market intelligence into business strategies and execution.  
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform-decision-making.  
  • Maintain and optimize market research databases, tools, and advanced research methods—including artificial intelligence.   

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • 8+ years of experience in market research, business intelligence, or a similar field.  
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, economics, or a related field is preferred.  
  • Proven track record of using market research to influence strategic decisions and guide high-impact business initiatives.  
  • Strategic thinker with creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.  
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in research methodologies and tools, including AI-enabled approaches. 
  • Ability to synthesize data into clear, persuasive business cases that drive executive-level decisions  
  • Passion for data-informed decision making and continuous improvement.  
  • Growth mindset and desire for continuous learning and knowledge sharing.  
  • Willingness to try new things and address challenges in a fast-paced environment.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Infrequent Traveler (<5% travel): The incumbent may be required to travel on a limited basis. Travel may include trips between Barclays Center, HSS Training Center, and other company properties.

SALARY RANGE:

$175,000 - $195,000 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Works primarily in an office environment but upon request will be expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
