SUMMARY:  

The Summer Internship is a part-time, paid program that runs from May 2026 to October 2026. Start and end dates can be flexible depending on your academic calendar. 

The program is located at our Industry City Corporate Headquarters in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Summer Interns are expected to work about 20-40 hours per week with some days expected to be in office and other days remote. Each intern will be assigned to a specific department in which they will remain or rotate for the duration of the program.

New York Liberty Public Relations Intern 

Summary: This internship supports basketball communications and media operations throughout the 2025 season by assisting with game notes, statistics tracking, practice and game-day availabilities, and postgame materials for media. The role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced arena environment, contributing to timely storytelling, research, and broader communications initiatives. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO: You will support basketball communications throughout the season and prepare timely postgame materials for the media. You may also contribute to broader communications efforts, including press releases, media advisories, events, and other departmental initiatives, in a fast-paced arena environment. 

WHO YOU ARE: You’re a current student with a strong interest in sports communications, journalism, or media relations who writes clearly, thinks quickly, and thrives in fast-paced game-day environments. You’re detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with a solid understanding of basketball statistics and the ability to communicate effectively under tight deadlines. 

 

 

New York Liberty Ticket Sales Intern 

Summary: The Ticket Sales Intern will support the Ticket Sales and Service Operations team by assisting with day-to-day sales activities, event execution, and departmental initiatives throughout the summer. This internship offers hands-on experience in research, sales training, client outreach, and supporting ticket sales efforts for the Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, and Barclays Center events. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO: You will support the Ticketing Department through administrative assistance, research, and hands-on involvement in sales training and ticket selling for Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, and Barclays Center events. The role also includes helping plan and execute ticketing events, managing inventory and tracking initiatives, and providing on-site event support as needed.

New York Liberty Partnerships Marketing Intern

Summary: The New York Liberty Partnership Marketing Intern supports the management and renewal of high-profile sponsor accounts while contributing creative ideas to partnership initiatives. This paid, part-time role is based in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, and is ideal for someone passionate about women’s sports and the WNBA.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: You will help ideate and execute marketing strategies and sponsor events across multiple partner accounts while researching new growth opportunities for corporate partners. You’ll also support client communications, manage special partner requests, and assist the team with day-to-day needs throughout the 2026 New York Liberty season.

New York Liberty Graphic Design Intern 

Summary: We’re looking for a passionate and driven Graphic Design Intern to join our creative and marketing team. You will provide support to the Art Director and the New York Liberty Marketing team. This is a unique chance to create real work for a top-tier Championship team while sharpening your design skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.   

WHAT YOU WILL DO: You will assist in creating digital and print marketing materials across social, web, email, merchandise, and promotional channels while supporting the design team in developing creative campaign ideas. The role also includes staying up to date on graphic design and sports marketing trends to help inform engaging, on-brand content. 

WHO YOU ARE: The ideal candidate is a current student pursuing Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field with strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite and a polished portfolio showcasing sound design fundamentals. You’re a collaborative, deadline-driven communicator who stays on top of design and media trends. A passion for sports, specifically women’s sports and the New York Liberty, is a plus. 

 

Salary 

$18/hour 

Requirements: 

  • This program is designed for college seniors, students engaged in graduate studies, or recent graduates 
  • All interns must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
