SUMMARY 

The Manager, Entertainment will support the department as a whole in its efforts to secure best in class concerts, comedy, family entertainment, special events and sporting events at Barclays Center. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Manage the master event calendar to include sending avails, placing holds and confirming events. 
  • Maintain and manage client information in CRM. 
  • Distribute event confirmations and relevant information throughout the company to ensure that all internal parties can deliver a world class event to the client. This process will empower the Manager to liaise with nearly every internal department (Marketing, Ticketing, Event Services, Arena Operations, Legal, Finance and Partnerships) as well as external clientele. 
  • Work with the Legal department to manage the event contract, location agreement and insurance process from start to finish. 
  • Produce and distribute multiple team reports on a weekly basis. 
  • Maintain show files to ensure completeness and accuracy. 
  • Administrative duties such as booking travel, expense reports and appointment management for the EVP & Chief Entertainment Officer and SVP – Entertainment. 
  • Manage an artist and client gifting program. Help create and ideate audience and artist experiences at the Arena.  
  • Develop, manage and implement a program for backstage décor to include theme, furnishings, artwork and menu for non-NBA events. 
  • Manage the VIP experience for company clientele at non-NBA events. 
  • Develop and manage a system to manage internal ticket requests. 
  • Assist in the creation of event proposals and sales materials for potential clients. 
  • Screen incoming messages to the department to ensure appropriate and efficient handling of inquiries. 
  • Conduct venue tours for prospective clients. 
  • Respond and react to event logistical needs as they emerge and Occasional on-site management of events. 
  • Recommend departmental adjustments to efficiently and effectively accomplish assigned objectives. 
  • Manage department subscriptions. 

WHO YOU ARE: 

  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with Venue Ops Essentials and PowerPoint a plus. 
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality of pending projects as well as the practice of discretion at high profile events. 
  • You are energized by being a part of live events and passionate about helping create world-class entertainment experiences. 
  • Attention to detail is a must. 
  • Creative thinker with problem-solving abilities. 
  • Possess a hustle mentality.  

WHAT YOU BRING: 

  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience. 
  • Possess concise verbal and written skills to communicate productively with a wide range of people, both internally and externally 
  • Flexibility to work late hours and weekends as needed. 
  • Flexible and reliable standout colleague, always acting in the best interest of their department and the company as a whole 
  • Ability to build and maintain productive, positive relationships through strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Proven ability to manage one’s own time and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined goals and objective 
  • Bachelor's or associate Degree required. 

 

SALARY RANGE  

$70,000 – $90,000 base salary  

WORK ENVIRONMENT  

The incumbent will primarily work in an office environment located in Industry City, however, may be expected to attend events which may take place on weekends and holidays.
