PROGRAM OVERVIEW 

The Fellowship is a 12-month paid program for motivated and innovative recent college graduates. It is designed to build core skills, gain business insights, and get exposure to the many facets of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment.  

The Hospitality Fellow will provide support to three key functions: Events & Experience, Arena Operations, and BSE Operations. During their Fellowship Program, they will work on they will involve in helping support events both internal and external, assisting in the research, planning & execution of those events. This role will gain experience in arena operations with both event services &arena operations. Additionally, they will assist with BSE Operations at the variety of properties with at BBTC, BSE HQ & HSS Training Center.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Events & Experience - 

  • Participate in the execution of company-sponsored events, including intake
    meetings, pre-event preparation, and on-site support.
  • Prepare event notes and supporting documents prior to events.
  • Assist with reviewing guest survey feedback and identifying areas of opportunity
  • Research and present on industry trends, including new technology, website layout and ease of finding information, and other relevant topics

Arena Operations -

  • Event Services: Support pre-event planning and execution for both auxiliary and basketball events, focusing on front-of-house operations to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Arena Operations: Contribute to the daily operations of Barclays Center by completing punch lists, assisting with arena conversions, maintaining effective relationships with vendors to uphold facility standards, assist with safety and security planning and other initiatives.
  • Guest Services: Implement guest service protocols, manage staffing matrices, and help uphold the Brooklyn Way standard to provide exceptional experiences for all guests.
  • Guest Experience: Aid in CRM tracking and support the development and execution of arena experience policies and planning to optimize guest flow and satisfaction.

BSE Operations - 

  • Manage office operations, onboarding/offboarding, credentialing, and project punch lists.
  • Oversee daily HQ tasks, including shipping, inventory, stocking, invoice processing, and supply orders.
  • Support game day events for NYL & Nets: activate partnerships, assist with credentialing, and handle planning and notes.
  • Coordinate with vendors for building maintenance, sustainability initiatives, and event setup/breakdown at various sites.

June 2, 2026 – May 28, 2027

SALARY

$20.00 per hour

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position primarily works in an office environment; however, our program fellows may be expected to attend games and events in a paid capacity as requested. Games and events may take place on evenings, weekends and holidays.
