The Senior Motion Designer will be an integral part of the Creative team at BSE Global. The role will own the charge in conceptualizing and implementing captivating motion design solutions that seamlessly align with our strategic goals. The position will help bring to life various Marketing campaigns and tentpole programs across in-arena, social and digital channels.

From initial concept development to final implementation, you will be at the forefront of crafting compelling visual narratives that leave a lasting impact. The Motion Designer will play a primary role on motion and animation solutions for a range of brands including the Brooklyn Nets, Barclays Center and New York Liberty. The individual will be encouraged to showcase a portfolio of their prior work.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Conceptualize and generate innovative concepts that elevate our brands’ visual storytelling through motion and animation tactics
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate strategies and ideas into visually spectacular motion graphics, ensuring alignment with style guides and core graphic elements of each initiative
• Develop and present motion design solutions that follow creative direction, brand strategy and campaign objectives
• Support Creative and Content teams on larger campaigns and franchises, serving as a subject area authority on how concepts can best manifest through motion design
• Liaise with Arena Creative Production team to co-develop concepts and ensure creative elements are in sync across various marketing channel executions
• Communicate design concepts with clear reasoning behind proposed solutions
• Prepare creative ideas and pitch fresh approaches
• Study design briefs and source requirements needed to implement each project
• Craft for a range of platforms; social, web, out-of-home, arena and print
• Experienced knowledge of Adobe After Effects. Must be able to build and use templates incorporating expressions through crucial graphics. Must know how to apply spreadsheet data in motion design project to drive automation. Must be able to craft for outstanding LED signage, outside of typical 16:9 aspect ratio.
• Commanding knowledge of the key programs of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro), and how they integrate into the After Effects workflow.
• Must have working knowledge of Cinema 4D. Experience using Video Copilot Element 3D is a plus.

WHO YOU ARE:

• 4-6 years motion graphic design experience
• Work experience at an advertising and/or branding agency is preferred
• Experience in Sports and Entertainment is very beneficial
• Highly motivated, continually communicating new insights and refining standard processes
• Ability to take projects from start to finish independently
• Strong conceptual problem solver and designer, capable of producing out-of-the-box ideas
• Roll-up-your-sleeves approach with a willingness to support the team and business as needed
• Handle and prioritize multiple projects to meet established deadlines
• Experience crafting campaigns formatted for social, web and out-of-home
• Strong understanding of web technologies as they relate to creative design
• Collaborative, clear communicator, both verbally and visually
• Strong portfolio demonstrating skill in visual design, typography, and illustration
• Mac platform, (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Office, Web/interactive experience is required

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications or any other Art related degree.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.

SALARY RANGE:

$90,000-$115,000

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Works primarily in an office environment but is encouraged to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.
