SUMMARY

Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment is seeking a Creative Director to lead the creative strategy, development, and execution of compelling, culture-shaping work. Reporting to the head of Sports Marketing, the Creative Director will also provide creative mentorship to creatives in the Entertainment brands. This highly collaborative leadership role will be responsible for defining and elevating the creative vision for some of the most iconic brands, experiences, and properties in sports and lifestyle.

The Creative Director will serve as the sports organization's senior creative leader, overseeing the design development of integrated marketing campaigns, brand identities, visual systems, creative production, experiential activations, and consumer-facing creative across every touchpoint. This role will ensure that all creative output reflects the unique DNA of our brands while delivering measurable business impact.

The ideal candidate will inspire and develop a diverse team of creatives, establish best-in-class creative processes, and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration. This role is central to shaping the identity and perception of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment's sports brands and will oversee the end-to-end creative process across a wide range of mediums, including in-venue, social media, web, app, email, out-of-home, experiential, merchandise, video, and print.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Creative Leadership & Brand Stewardship

  • Lead the creative vision and execution across sports brands in the Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment's ecosystem; provide creative mentorship to the creative team in the Entertainment ecosystem.
  • Establish and evolve distinctive creative platforms, visual identities, brand standards, and creative frameworks that strengthen brand equity and audience engagement.
  • Inspire bold, innovative, and culturally relevant creative work that positions Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment and its properties at the forefront of sports marketing.
  • Champion creative excellence across all deliverables, ensuring high-quality execution and consistency across every audience touchpoint.
  • Serve as the organization's creative authority, providing strategic direction and constructive feedback throughout the creative development process.
  • Create and present on-brief creative solutions with clarity, confidence, and persuasive storytelling.
  • Have a view across all Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment brands, ensuring consistent use of design systems, visual standards, tone, and messaging.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of creatives to achieve business success.
  • Foster a culture grounded in accountability, care, integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear goals, expectations, and development plans that support individual growth and team performance.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop top creative talent while promoting an environment that encourages creativity, experimentation, and innovation.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and creative leadership that elevates both team capabilities and creative output.

Creative Operations & Resource Management

  • Build and maintain an efficient operating model that enables the team to deliver exceptional creative work on time and within budget.
  • Implement systems and processes that support rapid-response creative needs while maintaining strategic and creative integrity.
  • Balance competing priorities across multiple brands, stakeholders, and business objectives while ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Manage agency, freelancer, production, and vendor relationships as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Cultivate trusted relationships with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Partner with Sporting Operations, Partnerships, Ticketing, Hospitality, Merchandise, Content, and Communications teams to develop impactful creative solutions that drive business results.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure creative initiatives are aligned with organizational priorities and audience needs.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in creative leadership roles within brands, agencies, media companies, sports organizations, entertainment properties, or related industries.
  • Proven experience leading and managing multidisciplinary creative teams in a platform-oriented company.
  • Deep expertise in creative direction, brand development, visual storytelling, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated success developing impactful creative work across multiple brands, audiences, and business verticals.
  • Proven ability to build, mentor, and scale high-performing creative staff.
  • Strong understanding of how consumers behave, and how to create culture in the sports, entertainment, hospitality and lifestyle verticals.
  • Operational expertise with the ability to balance creative ambition with business realities, timelines, and budgets.
  • Track record of successfully delivering high-profile projects and campaigns from concept through execution.
  • Outstanding presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Executive presence and the ability to build credibility and influence at all levels of an organization.

COMPENSATION

$170,000 - $195,000 base salary

Full-time employees are eligible for a robust slate of total rewards, including:

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Works primarily in an office environment but is expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays, when applicable.
