Safely operate specialized equipment and machinery to transport waste efficiently through the Arena.
Monitor and optimize building automation systems (BAS) for energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction.
Data Management & Technical Reporting
Collect, track, and analyze key sustainability metrics including energy usage, water consumption, and waste diversion rates.
Document task progress and operational status using work order tracking software; respond promptly to event-driven requests and maintenance needs.
Develop clear, data-driven PowerPoint presentations and reports to communicate sustainability performance and recommendations to management.
Research & Coordination
Research emerging sustainable technologies and industry best practices to identify opportunities for enhancing building efficiency and operations.
Identify and coordinate with local organizations and recyclers to maximize end-market value for Arena materials and waste streams.
Support vendor selection, coordination, and procurement of sustainable materials, equipment, and supplies.
Partner with management to establish, document, and maintain sustainability policies, regulations, and operational procedures.
Engagement & Support
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support the planning and execution of sustainability-focused projects and initiatives.
Communicate sustainability policies and compliance requirements to Arena staff, vendors, and event partners to ensure consistent adherence.
Transport zero-waste volunteers in and out of the Arena.
Contribute to staff training programs and internal awareness campaigns to promote sustainability best practices across the organization.
Requirements:

Strong ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve independently, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
The capability to take direction from multiple supervisors, managers, and event coordinators.
Physical ability to safely lift, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
Availability to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, and strong work ethic.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Willingness to perform hands-on work, including waste sorting and material handling (appropriate PPE provided).
Basic knowledge of sustainable practices and environmental trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) platforms or facility management software.
Previous experience working in a sports venue, entertainment facility, or event-driven environment.
Experience with financial reporting or data analysis in an operational setting.
