The Atlanta Hawks are seeking a Community Impact, Seasonal Assistant to support the planning and execution of strategic work plans that achieve measurable results and optimal use of resources to develop and grow our community activations with a focus on enhancing our connection to, and role within, the Greater Atlanta Community.

We are seeking someone who is both passionate about service and committed to cross-departmental collaboration. The ideal candidate will have experience in community relations, community service, volunteer management, non-profit work, event or project management, or other related experience.

Community Impact-Seasonal Assistant (Full-Time, up to 40 hours/week)

  • Serve in an administrative and operational support role for both in-office functions and community event activations.
  • Assist the team with organization-wide data collection, tracking, and analysis related to community impact.
  • Maintain and update the Community Impact team’s event calendar, meeting calendars, and departmental meeting agendas.
  • Assist with donation and community ticket program, including fielding requests, fulfilling requests, tracking inventory, data entry, and periodic reports.
  • Update and manage the Community Partner discovery process and database within Salesforce to ensure accurate and current records.
  • Support the development and maintenance of relationships with key community partners to help integrate the team into the community.
  • Maintain departmental inventory, including but not limited to office supplies, promotional and premium items, and event supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

What we need from you: (Required Skills/Abilities)

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data management tools.
  • Works effectively and quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Event or project management experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with internal and external clients with a positive customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying needs and offering solutions.
  • Genuine interest in community engagement, volunteerism, and social impact.

Education and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration, Business, Communications, or related field OR equivalent job experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face-to-face, conference calls, and online meetings.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs with reasonable accommodations
