Over the past few years, the new ownership and management of the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena have lead a dynamic turnaround of the franchise, on and off the court and set a course for the future with key initiatives:
 
  • Renovate State Farm Arena
  • Build a state-of-the-art practice facility
  • Start a G-League franchise
  • Join the NBA 2K League 
 
We are entering a period of significant growth over the next several years in large part to the transformation of State Farm Arena.  With this, our Managers of Premium Sales & Corporate Development will be instrumental in selling a new and exciting variety of concepts that are true to Atlanta.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
  • Contribute to and create incremental revenue streams, which primarily focus on selling multi-year contractual Veranda Suite licenses, Loft Suites, Atlanta Social Cabanas, and Concert Club Suites
  • Meet or exceed established yearly revenue goals set for new business
  • Generate leads through prospecting and networking, as well as contacting leads assigned through CRM.  Responsible for booking face-to-face appointments and creating urgency with C-level decision makers.  
  • Engage prospects and foster relationships during the sales process through creative means including but not limited to: sales and networking events, in-game/event appointments, lunches/dinners and outside meetings
  • Identify potential partnership prospects on a local and regional basis that align with the Atlanta Hawks brand and portfolio of corporate partners
  • Primarily focus on selling to $10M+ revenue companies in the Atlanta market
  • Other duties as assigned
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Strong sales and service background preferred
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; positive and proactive attitude 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Organized, ability to multi-task with attention to detail 
  • Ability to work independently, self- starter
  • Strong work ethic, results-oriented, desire to succeed
  • Enthusiastic about contributing to the success of the organization and department; team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to assess and respond to situations that may arise and exhibit leadership qualities
  • Able to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends and some holidays as necessary
  • Minimum five (5) years sales experience in sports/entertainment required
