The Facilities, Associate (Entry Level, Limited Term) will have the unique opportunity to learn new skills and gain valuable insight into the day-to-day workings of a Ballpark Facilities Operations Department. They will be an integral game day point-of-contact for a variety of inter-departmental and extra-departmental requests. This Associate will support the department in the successful implementation and management of game day operations and events throughout the 2026 baseball season. The Facilities Associate will primarily support game day operations, ballpark operations operating systems, and communication management needs within the department. By doing so, the Facilities Associate will be provided a unique behind the scenes experience while also contributing greatly to the department’s effectiveness in running a world-class facility.

The Associate position is a limited term, part-time position. The duration of the position is March to October 2026.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide support in managing, and creating reports, for ballpark operations’ operating systems.
• Oversee game day incident response and troubleshooting during events.
• Perform physical tasks on game days and non-game days which include, but are not limited to, deploying resources to address tickets and attending pre and post event briefings as needed.
• Provide support in directing resources, creating reports, and assisting in event setup.
• Provide support in managing and maintaining the Computerized Maintenance Management and Incident Management Systems and devices related to that software.
• Manage special projects in support of the Ballpark Operations department.
• Assist in non-game day event operations.
• Develop a working knowledge of Nationals Park and how support systems are prepared for game day and non-game day events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

The projected hourly rate for this position is $17.95/hour.

  • • Must successfully clear a background check.
  • • Must have U.S. work authorization.
  • • The job requires the employee to function in a high-activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. May work at heights. Employees will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/downstairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
  • • Experience with creating well-researched reports.
  • • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • • Communicate articulately.
  • • Working knowledge of mobile device platforms (iOS, Android, etc.).
  • • Strong organizational skills.
  • • Ability to frequently work nights and weekends.
  • • Available for entire 2026 season (March 2026- October 2026).
