Community Relations, Coordinator
This position is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Washington Nationals Community Relations (CR) department. This is a full-time, hourly position.
The Nationals are a military-friendly organization actively recruiting veterans and spouses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the implementation, tracking, and reporting of all tickets donated through the Community Ticket Grant program.
- Lead the fulfillment and distribution of autographed memorabilia and tickets to community groups.
- Assist in the planning and execution of Community Relations events and outreach, including gameday programming (education programs, meet and greets, VIP game-day experiences, pregame ceremonies, and in-game activations).
- Partner with program leads to evaluate program effectiveness through data tracking systems and manage department communications with external stakeholders.
- Support management and distribution of the Nationals’ free Uniform Program for youth baseball/softball leagues.
- Provide administrative oversight (sorting mail, making IT requests, scheduling, etc.) to ensure efficient departmental operations.
- Support the Senior Vice President with civic partnerships, activations, and scheduling.
- Other duties as assigned by the Community Relations department.
Compensation:
The projected wage rate for this position is $20.11-22.37 per hour. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s: qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organization requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range.

- • Office: Working conditions are normal for an office environment, however the position will have gameday responsibilities that may include exposure to weather conditions including extreme temperatures.

- • Ideal candidate will be a details-minded, energetic self-starter with an outgoing personality.
- • Must present self in a professional manner to interact with fans of all ages, sponsors, and game day guests, and on occasion, players and their families.
- • Must have the ability to appropriately handle challenging situations and coordinate large groups of people with customer service in mind.
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer) required.
- • Ability to frequently work nights and weekends.
- • Strong candidates will have experience and demonstrated interest in baseball/softball and experience engaging with community.

- • Must successfully clear a background check.
- • Must have U.S. work authorization.
- • Experience with working with military groups preferred.
- • Working knowledge of Major League Baseball preferred.
