The scoreboard gameday staff are responsible for operating various control room positions to successfully execute our in-stadium scoreboard show for each home game during the season.
Detailed Description:
The Nationals Park scoreboard staff is responsible for operating and managing every position in the scoreboard control room. These individuals work together seamlessly to execute a high level, in-venue, live event show. Scoreboard gameday staff will work each home game during the Nationals season. These staff will report to the Director of Game Production & Operations.
The Nationals are a military-friendly organization actively recruiting veterans and spouses.

To be considered, individuals must have prior working knowledge of at least one of the below control room positions. Individuals will be selected to serve in a position dependent upon their related experience during a game. Selected positions for individuals can change from game to game.

Director
3+ years of experience directing a multi-camera and multi-source live broadcast production. Excellent communication skills a must.
Technical Director
3+ years of experience technical directing multi-source broadcast or sports shows in a fast-paced production atmosphere.
Knowledge and experience with Ross production switchers preferred.
Replay Operator
1+ years of experience operating a replay system for a live sports production; including rolling back replays and building highlight packages.
Ability to multi-task and work quickly is a must.
Knowledge and experience with Evertz Dreamcatcher or EVS preferred.
CG Operator
1+ years of experience running a character generator in a live production atmosphere.
Good communication skills and attention to detail is a must.
Knowledge and experience with Ross XPression preferred.
Clip Playback Operator
1+ years of experience running video playback in a live production atmosphere.
Good communication skills and attention to detail is a must.
Knowledge and experience with Ross Tria/Kiva or Click Effects Crossfire preferred.
Technical Manager (EIC)
3+ years of experience shading and painting cameras as well as troubleshooting camera issues in a live production atmosphere. Knowledge and experience with studio or venue camera setups including box lenses and SMPTE fiber preferred. Excellent communication skills a must.
Technical Assistant (Utility)
2+ years of experience with wireless mic operation and placement, IFB operation, cable management, and troubleshooting audio issues for live sports production.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail is a must.
Hard Camera Operator
1+ years of experience building and operating stationary live production cameras in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and experience with studio or venue camera setups including box lenses and SMPTE fiber preferred.
Wireless Camera Operator
1+ years of experience operating a wireless live production camera in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to carry at least 20 pounds, climb stairs, and move quickly around the ballpark while carrying a camera.
Audio Engineer
3+ years of experience configuring and operating a venue/arena sized audio mixer. Experience and knowledge of how to mix audio for a large-scale venue as well as live mixing for a live production is a must.
Compensation:
The projected hourly wage rates for each position are listed below. Hourly rates are for each game, with a minimum of 6 game hours. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s: qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organizational requirements.
