Position Summary:
All-Ripken is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to support the growth and engagement of our digital community across all social platforms. This hourly role will be responsible for managing daily social media activity, executing the content calendar, and ensuring consistent brand voice across platforms.

The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and passionate about youth sports. In addition to managing day-to-day social media operations, this role may have opportunities to attend All-Ripken events to capture and publish real-time content, highlighting players, coaches, and the overall experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Management

  • Manage All-Ripken social media accounts across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube.

  • Schedule, publish, and monitor posts according to the approved content calendar.

  • Ensure all content aligns with All-Ripken’s brand standards and messaging.

  • Monitor comments, messages, and engagement, escalating questions or issues as needed.

Content Execution

  • Work closely with All-Ripken leadership and the marketing team to execute the social media posting schedule.

  • Assist with caption writing, hashtag strategy, tagging, and platform-specific formatting.

  • Coordinate graphics, videos, and photography for posts and campaigns.

  • Identify opportunities for trending formats, reels, and short-form video content.

Content Tracking & Reporting

  • Track post-performance and engagement metrics.

  • Provide weekly updates on content performance and growth trends.

  • Assist with campaign recaps and reporting around major events and promotions.

Event Content Opportunities

  • Capture and publish live or near-live content during All-Ripken events when available.

  • Assist with player highlights, behind-the-scenes coverage, and community storytelling.

  • Support recap posts and post-event social coverage.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 1–3 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content creation.

  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and YouTube best practices.

  • Experience using social media scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Sprout, Later, etc.).

  • Strong writing and communication skills.

  • Ability to follow a structured posting calendar and meet deadlines.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced sports environment.

  • Passion for baseball, softball, youth sports, or sports media preferred.

Preferred:

  • Basic photo and video editing (Canva, Adobe, CapCut, etc.).

  • Experience covering live events or sports content.

  • Ability to identify engaging storytelling opportunities within youth sports communities.

Working Conditions / Special Physical Requirements:

  • Hourly position (estimated 10–20 hours per week, varies by season).

  • Potential additional hours during event coverage or peak tournament seasons.

  • Opportunities for on-site event work and content capture at select All-Ripken events.
