Position Summary Cooperstown All Star Village is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to assist in leading kitchen operations and delivering high quality meals to players, families, and guests. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Outlet Manager with kitchen leadership and daily food preparation.
Supervise kitchen staff and maintain efficient workflow.
Ensure all food meets quality, presentation, and safety standards.
Assist with menu execution, inventory, and ordering.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment
Qualifications:
2–3 years of culinary experience in a highvolume or fastpaced kitchen environment
Prior leadership experience supervising or training kitchen staff
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines
Ability to execute menu items consistently and efficiently during peak service times
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
Ability to adapt quickly and problemsolve in a dynamic, fastmoving setting
ServSafe or equivalent certification
Preferred:
ServSafe or equivalent certification
Working conditions /Physical Requirements
Fastpaced, highvolume kitchen supporting multiple meal services daily
Long periods of standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working around heat and commercial kitchen equipment
Variable schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended hours
Team-oriented environment with frequent interaction across culinary, service, and operations departments
Highenergy atmosphere driven by tournament schedules and large crowds
Routinely exposed to varying weather, dust/particles, and high-volume kitchen conditions
Frequently bending, kneeling, crouching, twisting and reaching.
Visual ability to identify cleanliness standards and potential safety hazards.
