Position Summary:
The Transportation Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of the Transportation Department, supervising tractor, mobility cart drivers and parking attendants. This role ensures that all transportation services operate safely, efficiently, and with excellent customer service. The Supervisor is responsible for scheduling, staff oversight, vehicle maintenance, and coordination with other departments to meet guest needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, schedule, and train transportation staff, including tractor and mobility cart drivers and parking attendants.
Monitor daily operations to ensure guests are transported safely and efficiently across campus.
Ensure proper use of two-way radios and clear communication among drivers and staff.
Conduct regular inspections of vehicles (golf carts, tractors, etc.) to ensure safe operation.
Report and coordinate maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment.
Maintain safety standards and enforce policies to ensure a secure environment for guests and staff.
Assist with transportation needs during peak times and provide backup driving support as necessary.
Communicate effectively with guests, staff, and leadership to coordinate transportation logistics.
Prepare and maintain basic records such as schedules, incident reports, and maintenance logs.
Perform other duties as assigned to support overall operations.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required; college or technical training a plus.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during tournament season.
Preferred:
Previous transportation or logistics management experience.
Experience supervising staff in hospitality, camp, or event operations.
Familiarity with golf carts, tractors, or similar vehicles.
Working Conditions / Special Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
