Cooperstown All Star Village is a state-of-the-art sports complex located in Oneonta, NY. Cooperstown All Star Village specializes in youth baseball tournaments bringing teammates, coaches, and families together through our Big-League Experiences. We are committed to maintaining the values and experience gained from playing the game, while making sure there's a whole lot of fun along the way.

Position Summary:
As a member of The Cooperstown All Star Village team you will be working under the supervision of the Director of Resort Operations. This position requires an organized individual that can work independently. This individual must also work well with other staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering incoming telephones and making outgoing calls. This includes keeping current with the voicemail regularly.

  • Responding to incoming and outgoing e-mail.

  • Responding to parents, coaches and player questions.

  • Keeping a tidy, organized work area and office

  • Communicates with all departments on campus

  • Must have knowledge of the tournaments, campus activities and of the surrounding area to assist with questions

  • Advise the supervisor of needed supplies, shortages, etc.

  • Must be able to operate a handheld 2-way radio and make sure they are charged, rotating as necessary.

  • Must have good communication skills.

  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Ability to work during the day or evening as determined by supervisor

  • Required to work flexible schedule based on the needs of the business

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written). Positive and effective leadership and customer service skills

Preferred:

  • Minimum must have High School Diploma/be currently attending a local high school/GED

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Working Conditions / Special Physical Requirements:

  • Must be available to work extended hours, including nights and weekends

  • Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the campus as needed

  • Must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds

  • May work in varied temperatures, loud environments, and fast-paced conditions
