Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to support our payroll and contractor management processes. This role responsible for entering and processing payments for independent contractors through our WorkMarket platform and assisting the payroll team with weekly processing tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in human resources or payroll, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is a hybrid position for a person located in the Aberdeen, MD or Myrtle Beach, SC area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter and process payments for independent contractors using WorkMarket.
  • Monitor contractor assignments, payment statuses, and resolve payment issues as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the payroll department in ADP Workforce Now, including data entry, report generation, and record maintenance.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, offboarding, and payroll-related documentation as needed.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accuracy and compliance in payment and payroll processes.
  • Oversee intake and routing of all payroll/HR compliance mail—such as garnishment orders, payroll tax letters, and unemployment claim inquiries—and ensure accurate documentation and prompt communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.

Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in human resources, payroll, or related administrative role.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and WorkMarket strongly preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Familiarity with contractor compliance and 1099 reporting is a plus.
