Location: While this role is mostly remote, we are prioritizing candidates who are located in our hub cities (Baltimore/DC, New York City, or LA) to meet up with other employees in person several times per month.
About Us: Unrivaled Sports is building the nation’s first integrated youth sports platform with 15 owned & operated venues serving 645,000+ athletes and their families annually (and growing). We’re looking for a senior, relationship-driven hospitality leader to lead the national rollout and optimization of our lodging service across our national portfolio with the goal to hit 150,000 room nights across the portfolio by 2027.
About the Role: This person will be the primary liaison between our internal event and property teams and our technology partner, EventConnect, ensuring every event has a well-planned lodging strategy that maximizes guest satisfaction and revenue. This is not an event-ops coordinator role — it is a market launcher, product manager, and revenue strategist who will design and roll out a lodging network across the country.
This is a rare opportunity to help build an industry-leading lodging services business for the fastest-growing youth sports platform in the U.S., creating meaningful travel experiences for families while driving major revenue impact across Unrivaled Sports' footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Rollout & Execution: Own rolling out EventConnect across all properties & events by 2027; Partner with GMs and event operators to implement EventConnect lodging services across the full calendar — forecasting demand, setting lodging timelines, and aligning on tournament schedules and projections, and overseeing execution.
- EventConnect Partnership Management: Serve as the day-to-day liaison with EventConnect, ensuring seamless integration of our lodging platform across all venues and events, including owning the curation of booking options in new markets, system setup, data accuracy, and performance tracking.
- Market Expansion: Scope and launch lodging operations in new markets; assess hotel inventory, local dynamics, and travel patterns to build optimal lodging networks per region. Work with EventConnect in each market to develop rate and commission strategies, ensuring competitive pricing for customers while maximizing yield for the business.
- Hotel & Partner Relationships: Build and manage partnerships with hotel brands, management groups, and private property providers; assist with local sponsorships, contracting, and rate negotiations as new markets come online.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with the Co-Director of Lodging (in charge of team of internal travel concierge managers that drive business for certain locations, annual budgeting, and hitting conversion targets per property once launched), Event Operations, Marketing, and Finance to ensure lodging services align with event experience, communications, and revenue targets.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor booking performance, conversion rates, customer satisfaction, and partner ROI at EventConnect properties; create actionable reporting and recommendations for ongoing improvement for the Co-Director of Lodging to drive once the market is launched.
Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience in hospitality, lodging partnerships, event operations, or travel-tech business development.
- Strong understanding of hotel contracting, room-block management, and lodging distribution models (prior experience with EventConnect a PLUS).
- Proven success managing external vendor or platform relationships (ideally with travel or sports-tech systems like EventConnect).
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills with hotel and destination partners.
- Data-driven mindset with comfort building pricing models and forecasting demand.
- Strong project management and organizational skills; capable of coordinating multiple venues and event timelines.
- Willingness to travel to key venues or events as a part of scoping and executing new market launches.
