Reporting to the General Manager, the Mascot Handler is responsible for ensuring the mascot stays on schedule, helps select fans for in-game promotions, and creates a fun atmosphere for fans of all ages.

Pay: $15/hr.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Execute pre-game and in-game promotions on the dugout throughout the season - attending pregame meetings.
  • Must be focused and responsible for guiding the mascot in a variety of physical conditions to ensure the safety of the mascot and those around the mascot. 
  • Keep the mascot on schedule and monitor breaks for the performer.
  • Escort guests to the field during pre-game.
  • Work alongside the promo team to choose fans and execute games sponsored by partners. 
  • Be the voice of the mascot and assist in engaging and interacting with big crowds to entertain and excite fans of all ages.
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Stay up-to-date on Dunedin Blue Jays news and events. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be available to work all Dunedin Blue Jays home games and some non-gameday events.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Toronto Blue Jays, game of baseball, current players, and alumni is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
