JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Toronto Blue Jays are seeking a qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach to fulfill an opening as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach in the Dominican Summer League. This position will be based out of the Blue Jays Academy in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic for the length of the DSL pre-season and in-season period, as well as off-season camps in both the Dominican Republic and Player Development Complex in Dunedin, FL. This position will assist the Head DSL Strength & Conditioning Coach and will report to the MiLB Strength & Conditioning Coordinator and Latin American Strength & Conditioning Coordinator.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaboration with all other TBJ departments in the physical profile assessment & analysis process leading to the creation of individualized player plans and developmental goals, as well as tracking the progress of those goals at specified times throughout the year
- Developing, individualizing, and coaching the TBJ S&C program for the specified support group of affiliate players that will be under that coach’s care. This involves scheduling and overseeing a player’s daily physical development routine, including but not limited to preparation, lifting, conditioning, speed/agility sessions, and recovery work
- Leading daily workload monitoring of players and engaging with discussions and adjustments needed within any programs accordingly
- Weight room setup, organization, cleanliness and sanitation
REQUIREMENTS:
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA (or actively in pursuit of)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field
- First Aid/CPR Certified - Minimum 1 year of experience being in direct charge of teams or athletes in the field of strength and conditioning (including internships and graduate assistantships)
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred

- A passion for athlete development is essential with the ability to stay organized, manage large groups, and communicate effectively.

CONTRACT DETAILS:
- This position will begin January 2026.
