The Oak Island Loggerheads are seeking enthusiastic and dependable Game Day Operations Interns for the 2026 summer season. This internship provides hands-on experience in the execution of live sporting events and is ideal for students interested in sports management, event operations, or the business of baseball.
Interns will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and engaging game day experience for fans, players, and staff.
Internship Timeline
May 20th, 2026 – August 2nd, 2026
Responsibilities
Game Day Operations Interns will assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of home games and stadium events, including:
- Assisting with stadium setup and breakdown before and after games
- Supporting in-game promotions and on-field entertainment
- Helping coordinate fan engagement activities and contests
- Assisting with sponsor activation and promotional elements
- Supporting ticket scanning, fan assistance, and customer service
- Ensuring ballpark areas are organized and operational throughout the event
- Assisting the front office staff with general game day logistics
Qualifications
- Current college student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Business, Communications, or related field
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and all home games
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Passion for sports and live event operations
