Summary:
This is a full time 3-month position responsible for performing duties related to ticket sales and team promotion. This position plays a key role in filling the stands at Historic Hicks Field. Including, interaction with fans and the community.

Accountabilities: 
  • Provide daily report to general manager on assigned operations.
  • Make phone calls and in person visits to businesses around the community.
  • Set up group ticket sales with companies, churches, service groups, etc.
  • Help cater to said groups when they arrive to the ballpark.
  • Initiate excitement in the community with promotional marketing resulting in increased attendance.
  • Participate in making sure the game day process runs smoothly.
  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of ticket sales.
  • Perform other related duties that may arise relating to the Edenton Steamers during the positions’ duration.

Key Interfaces:
Must relate well with people in an outgoing manner. Including fans, community members, and game day staff. Must be able to excite the event atmosphere and achieve goals assigned.

Skills and Competencies:
A person with a friendly outlook who is not afraid to get involved in anything that is needed. Problem solving skills are a must. Outgoing, promotional minded person with ability to interact with fans. Creativity is necessary in the designing ticket deals and improving game day attendance.

Education:
Looking for someone in the pursuit of a degree in a sports, marketing or business related field. This includes but is not limited to an active undergraduate/ graduate level student, to a graduate in need of some important workplace experience.
Experience: 
Sports management experience is a plus. Somebody with public relations experience will do well. A person with the necessary attitude along with work ethic will be successful in this position.
